The Sacramento Youth Band (SYB) is a community-based nonprofit organization providing area youth with an opportunity to play in our Symphonic Band, Jazz Big Band and Jazz Combo.
SYB provides band members with a place to expand their musical abilities, meet new friends, and travel to perform in other cities including San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara and more.
Students rehearse weekly at rehearsal space sponsored by St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in South Sacramento. Membership includes the commitment to rehearse and perform at events.
